R.I.P MIKE BECK

I'm sorry I haven't been able to post nothing in a while, but I'm dealing with a loss right now. A few days ago, a good friend of mine was brutally murdered on the streets as a result of jealousy. I don't know the specifics of what transpired. All I know is Mike Beck is no longer here with us. This man was an aspiring rapper with lots of talent. He asked me to write a book on his life and this is what took place. I'm tired of the senseless killings and he's not the first person I've had taken away from me. I do know that his legacy will continue to live on because that's what he would've wanted so every person who had a personal relationship with this man will have to play their part. Last night I listened to Kay Slay play a song called "Self Destruction 2010". I understood why he played it. There are too many songs out here promoting violence and glorifying the street element. Alot of times these kids are so impressionable on this kind of music that they think that's what these artists are advocating. They don't know how to separate art from reality. Music is an art form! Its not supposed to make you go out and participate in random acts of violence. If that was the case, then every time you watched a violent movie you'd think that was the green light to do something crazy. If thats what you think then your Suspended In Time by thinking it. We've all seen Scarface, Boyz in the Hood, Menace to Society, Goodfellas, Casino, Heat, Terminator and countless other movies that depict what happens in the end. Noone pays attention to the message these movies or the music portrays. All they see is violence! I'm not here to preach to you, but I do know that God didn't put us all here on this great Earth to harm one another. We're supposed to love one another and treat everyone as equal but we all know that isn't the case. Racism still exists in many parts of the world, but good overrides evil any day. With that being said, I will continue to play my part and do what I was put on the planet to do which is to shed light and enlighten those in need of enlightenment. Rest in Peace Mike Beck, I will forever hold you in my heart. Watch over us and I'll see you when I get there.

  1. For starters i want to say RIP to mike...God knows this wasnt supposed to play out like this, but God must have a bigger plan. And for the person who caused this vitious crime, God dont like ugly and everything in the dark will soon come to the light. Karma is the worst think that could ever hit a person!
Now i didnt personaly know mike like that but i met him once when he came to harlem to shoot a video with KAR and TS and i have spoke with him on the jack a few times. He seemed like a real stand up guy. and i know he looked out for the people he messed with. thats real right there. not alot of people in his position, on the road to fame do that now adays and he still had time to show mad love to where he came from.
Now for all the people one being yourself who hold mike in there hearts. Thats all we could do right now. He is deffenitly in a better place right now. piture him up there in heaven jamming having a good time with big lou biggie, 2pac and all the other fallen soilders and artist that was lost due to street violence. they are all looking down on us protecting us day in and day out making sure no harm comes our way. We have to keep his legecy alive his movment and cause for doing the things he did and wanted to do. We cant stop , cause if we dont do it then who will. He'll just become another forgotten memory, and thats not what he wants.
So RIP mike for you are in a better place. you will never be forgotten , always be loved and your legacy will live on on until there are no more night and no more day.....
